Gujarat Health Minister Rishikesh Patel on Tuesday told the state Assembly here that committees will be formed at the district level to pay compensation of Rs 50,000 to the next of kin of those who died due to COVID-19.

The opposition Congress had raised the issue of deaths caused by the pandemic in the state, after which the minister came out with the statement.

The Congress had claimed that over three lakh people died due to the pandemic in Gujarat, while the official figure, given by Patel, is 10,082.

"As per a letter of the central home ministry, the state government has decided to give Rs 50,000 as financial assistance to the relatives of those who died due to COVID-19.

જવાબ: દવાખાનામાં મૃત્યુ ન થયું હોય અને ઓથોરિટી તરફથી મૃત્યુના કારણનું પ્રમાણપત્ર ન મળ્યું હોય ત્યારે MCCDની અપ્રાપ્યતા પ્રમાણપત્ર મેળવ્યા બાદ અથવા MCCDમાં દર્શાવાયેલા મૃત્યુના કારણ સામે અસંતોષ હોય ત્યારે પરિશિષ્ટ – 3 હેઠળ અરજી કરવી.

જવાબ: અરજીપત્રક પરિશિષ્ટ -1ની વિગતો રજૂ કરી MCCDની નકલ મેળવવાની રહેશે.

સવાલ: અરજી સાથે સારવારને લગતા કયા દસ્તાવેજો જોડવાના રહેશે?

જવાબ: અરજીપત્રક પરિશિષ્ટ -1ની સાથે માત્ર મરણ દાખલાની નકલ અને અરજદારનો ઓળખનો પુરાવો આપવાનો રહેશે. જ્યારે અરજીપત્રક પરિશિષ્ટ -3 ભરવાની સ્થિતિમાં (1) મૃતકનું મરણનું પ્રમાણપત્ર (2) MCCD અપ્રાપ્યતા પ્રમામપત્રની નકલ (3) હોસ્પિટલમાંથી મળેલ મૃત્યુના કારણ અંગેનું પ્રમાણ પત્ર (આપવામાં આવ્યુ હોય તો) (4) દાખલ દર્દીના કેસ પેપર (5) ઘરે મૃત્યુ થયું હોય તેવા કિસ્સામાં દર્દીએ જે ડૉક્ટર પાસેથી સારવાર લીધી હોય તેની સારવારની વિગતો (6) દર્દીના લેબોરેટરી અને રેડિયોલોજી પરીક્ષણના પુરાવા.

"The state government will give this compensation as per the guidelines of the centre. Committees will be formed at the district level to distribute the compensation," the health minister told the House.
