તમારા વાહનને રસ્તા પર ચલાવા માટે ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાઇસન્સ (Driving License) જરૂરી છે. તેથી તમારે ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ સમાપ્ત થયા પછી તેને રિન્યુ (Driving License Renew) કરાવવું પડશે. મોટર વ્હીકલ એક્ટ, 1988 મુજબ, જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ કાર ચલાવવા માંગે છે, તો તેની પાસે ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાઇસન્સ હોવું આવશ્યક છે. RTO તમને રિન્યુઅલ વિકલ્પ પસંદ કરવા માટે એક વર્ષ સુધીનો સમય આપે છે. સારી વાત એ છે કે તમારે તમારા ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાઇસન્સના રિન્યૂ માટે કોઈ સમસ્યાનો સામનો કરવો પડશે નહીં. હવે તમે ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ રિન્યુઅલ માટે ઓનલાઈન અરજી કરી શકો છો.

એટલે કે હવે તમારે તમારું લાઇસન્સ રિન્યુ કરાવવા માટે RTO ઓફિસમાં કલાકો સુધી લાઈનમાં ઊભા રહેવું નહીં પડે. એ નોંધવું પણ અગત્યનું છે કે આ પદ્ધતિ ઝડપી અને સરળ છે. અહીં અમે તમને ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ ઓનલાઈન રિન્યુ કેવી રીતે કરવું તે વિશે જણાવી રહ્યા છીએ.

1. પ્રોસેસ શરૂ કરવા માટે https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/ વેબસાઇટની મુલાકાત લો.

2. પેજની ડાબી બાજુએ, તમને ‘Apply Online’ વિકલ્પ મળશે.

3. ‘ઓનલાઈન અરજી કરો’ મેનૂ હેઠળ, તમને ‘ડ્રાઈવિંગ લાઇસન્સ સંબંધિત સેવાઓ’ વિભાગ મળશે.

4. વિકલ્પ પર ક્લિક કર્યા પછી, વેબસાઇટ તમને બીજા પૃષ્ઠ પર રીડાયરેક્ટ કરશે. હવે, આ પૃષ્ઠ પર, જરૂરી ઓળખપત્રો દાખલ કરો.

5. ફરીથી નવા પૃષ્ઠ પર રીડાયરેક્ટ થયા પછી, તમારે ઑનલાઇન અરજી કરો પર ક્લિક કરો અને ‘ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ સેવાઓ’ પસંદ કરો.

6. આગલું પૃષ્ઠ તમારી ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાઇસન્સ રીન્યૂ અરજી ભરવા માટે જરૂરી તમામ વિગતોની રૂપરેખા આપશે. પ્રક્રિયા સાથે આગળ વધતા પહેલા તેને સારી રીતે વાંચો. વાંચ્યા પછી ‘નેક્સ્ટ’ પર ક્લિક કરો.

7. હવે તમારે તમારો વર્તમાન લાઇસન્સ નંબર, જન્મ તારીખ, પિનકોડ અને આવા અન્ય ઓળખપત્રો દાખલ કરવા પડશે.

8. તમે તમારી સામે વિવિધ લાઇસન્સ સેવાઓનો સમૂહ જોશો. આ વિકલ્પોમાંથી, ‘Renewal’ પસંદ કરો.

9. Renewal વિકલ્પ પસંદ કર્યા પછી, વેબસાઇટ તમને વાહન સંબંધિત અન્ય માહિતી ભરવા માટે કહેશે.

10. આગલા પૃષ્ઠ પર સ્પષ્ટ ફોટો અને સહી અપલોડ કરો. આ સુવિધા માત્ર અમુક રાજ્યોમાં જ ઉપલબ્ધ છે.

11. જો તમારા મેડિકલ સર્ટિફિકેટમાં ફેરફાર હોય, તો તમે નવા ડ્રાઇવિંગ ટેસ્ટ માટે સ્લોટ બુક કરી શકો છો.

12. તમામ પગલાં પૂર્ણ કર્યા પછી, વેબસાઇટ એક રસીદ પૃષ્ઠ બતાવશે. તમે ઓળખપત્રોને ક્રોસ-ચેક કરી શકો છો અને આ પૃષ્ઠ પર એપ્લિકેશન ID જોઈ શકો છો. ઉપરાંત, તમને રજિસ્ટર્ડ મોબાઇલ નંબર પર તમામ વિગતો દર્શાવતો SMS મળશે.

13. Renewal પ્રક્રિયા પૂર્ણ કરવા માટે તમારે 200 રૂપિયા ચૂકવવા પડશે. તમે ડેબિટ/ક્રેડિટ કાર્ડ અથવા નેટ બેંકિંગ દ્વારા પણ ચૂકવણી કરી શકો છો.

Renewal / Duplicate of Driving License

• Driving license is valid till the date as shown in the driving license.
• A grace period of 30 days is granted for renewal of driving license.
• If, a driving license holder comes for renewal within a period of 5 years from the date of expiry, he is exempted from test, but license is valid from date of renewed license.
• Application in Form-9 attached with original Driving License should be made for renewal of driving license. https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/ 
• Medical Certificate in Form-1-A is required to be produced, if, applicant has completed 50 years of age or is applying for renewal of driving license for a transport vehicle.
• A fee of Rs.50/- with a smart card fee of Rs.200/- is required to be paid, if, application is made within the period.
• For delay, an additional fee of Rs.50/- for every year of such delay is required to be paid.
• In case of original driving license is from other R.T.O. or State, then N.O.C. of concerned R.T.O. should be attached.

For Change in Details of Driving License / Obtaining a Duplicate

1. Application should be made in Form L.L.D. with details of original driving license and a fee of Rs.200/- should be paid.
2. In case applicant has forgotten number of original smart card, then, he can apply for information regarding it by making an application indicating his name, address, date of birth and is required to be pay a fee of Rs.25/-.
3. To change details of driving license like name, address, etc., then, an application on plain paper with a smart card fee of Rs.200/- is required to be made
4. N.O.C. from the original licensing authority should be obtained and attached with the application.
